is it a discoteque for hairless limbs and shaved armpits?

d’artagnan’s private rifle collection?

a library of harmonies?

armoteque surely couldn’t be bothered

the band shies from revealing and explaining itself. compelling you to dig into the style and sound of its compositions

armoteque publishes its first long playing album (we sure love the retro stale odor of old vynils…don’t we?!) entitled ‘find position‘ in 2010: a turgid hybrid of darktripbeatrock featuring the ferharmonic vocals of vanilla punk and crafted by the synthetic syllogisms of band cofounders jean-loux boka and fredbo.

after a short series of live performances in the country’s park live music scenario, vanilla punk leaves the band

undaunted, boka and fredbo continue to cultivate their dirty and refined sound. after having constructed a long series of instrumentals or soundtracks for an imaginary singer they decide to start the search for a singer who can in some way complete their sound.

y:dk is invited to draw a vocal line — he also happens to be an old band associate of fredbo in the technogod heydays. y:dk’s work gives armoteque’s instrumentals a new life.

the new house plants regain their color…

12 new tracks take form, produce chlorophyllae and crosspollinate. influences can be heard from the remote and immediate past as well as from the absent /inexistent present…

urban/desert rock influences blend with distant country tastes undertowed
by glitchy simildance post-industrial rhythm structures

identities lose their origin…distorted guitars become sound…analogue synths become huge swithboard dispatch controllers…

imagine an enormous freeway with multiple entrance ramps and only one exit…STEREO !!!

what enters has a specific identity but what comes out has an altered dna

dusting your house plants is a futile and useless deed that somehow makes you feel good and relaxes you… the time passes and your mind frees itself from the consolidated, concrete existence we’re confined to.  fresh oxygen opens new ways to perspectives

armoteque sicuramente non si è posta il problema.

band sicuramente di fosca provenienza che non ama molto parlare di se e ricerca il suo stile nelle diramazioni sonore delle sue composizioni

dopo alcuni concerti in questa penis’ola così ricca di opportunità per gruppi nuovi non catalogabili di suonare dal vivo, vanilla punk abbandona la band.

boka e fredbo comunque continuano a lavorare sul loro suono sporco e raffinato.  dopo aver composto svariati strumentali o colonne sonore per cantanti immaginari scelgono di intraprendere la ricerca di un cantante che in qualche modo possa completare i loro suono.

y:dk viene invitato a dare una linea vocale — vecchio socio di  fredbo nei technogod, y:dk aiuta gli armoteque a completare le stesure.

le nuove piantine di casa riprendono colore…

12 nuove tracce prendono forma. producono clorofilla e crosspollinano. influenze carpite dal passato remoto, dal passato immediato e dal presente assente…

sonorità urban/ desert rock confluiscono in accenni country inseguiti da ritmiche glitchose simil dance post industrial

identità perdono l’origine… le chitarre distorte diventano suono…synth analogici diventano gigantesque centraline di smistamento messaggi…

immaginate una enorme autostrada con molteplici entrate è una sola uscita …STEREO !!!

entrate con una identità specifica ma ciò che esce ha il dna morphato

spolverare le piante di casa è un gesto del tutto inutile e futile ma ci fa stare meglio, ci rilassa…il tempo passa e la mente si libera e da ossigeno a nuove prospettive oltre la consolidata, collaudata e imperturbabile esistenza
